Digital Citizenship is very important. We need to be able to trust our students when giving them access to technology. I would first begin by talking with the students to see what they already know about Digital Citizenship. This way we can openly discuss right and wrong things. I would then share with them what good Digital Citizenship looks like by doing role playing. Showing the students what to do and what not to do digitally. We would focus on safety and awareness. It is important to review these things at the beginning of the year as part of the expectations of the classroom. Reminding students of Digital Citizenship throughout the year is helpful, also.
